A self-diagnostic grid
Execution, coordination, ownership: place each assignment and spot the operational work you already deliver, often for free.
For independent assistants
You already coordinate, and sometimes you own the outcome. You bill it as execution. We make that work visible, reframe it and price it. With proof, not self-belief.
The thesis
Impostor syndrome is not cured by self-confidence. It is cured by proof.
I was an executive assistant, then one of Europe’s first virtual assistants, before I became a COO. First the one who coordinates without the title, then the one who decides what that work is worth.
The method behind it: spot the operational work you already deliver without billing for it, make that invisible work measurable, and speak in your own name after years of speaking for others.
Three levels
Three levels, defined by who decides and who carries the outcome, never by how prestigious the task is.
The client defines the task. You deliver it.
what you bill
You organise several people, tools or deadlines. You decide the order.
what you already do
You carry an outcome. You make the calls and improve the system yourself.
what you can sell
The method
1
Execution, coordination, ownership: place each assignment and spot the operational work you already deliver, often for free.
2
A simple method to document it, put a figure on it and turn it into proof you can show a client.
3
Reframe an assignment, announce a rate, set a scope, speak in your own name.
4
Which assignments to reframe, which skills to add, when to move your offer on.
